Job summary

The Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant Advanced to support specialty clinics. The role requires prior advanced specialty chairside experience, EFDA consideration, and compliance with radiological proficiency and BLS standards.

The position is based in Portland with travel between clinics as needed. Typical duties include performing advanced dental procedures and assisting within specialty work units, aligned with clinical needs and patient care

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Dental Assistant training program and two years' experience as a chair side Dental Assistant in an Advanced Specialty
• Three years' experience as a chair side Dental Assistant in an Advanced Specialty
• Certification by the Oregon State Board of Dentistry for Radiological Proficiency required for all positions
• BLS from AHA required; onboarding training will be provided
• Must have worked as a dental assistant in an advanced specialty within the last 5 years
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation

Responsibilities

• Support one or more specialty clinics within the School of Dentistry, based on clinical needs.
• Perform advanced dental activities beyond standard chairside duties as assigned.
