Qualifications

Six months experience in dental assisting or related work.
Successful completion of a 1-year CODA-accredited dental assisting program.
Certification/licensure requirements and radiographic competency per VA standards.
Desirable DANB certification.

Responsibilities

Perform dental assisting expanded functions as directed by the dentist.
Gather diagnostic information, chart conditions, and assist in procedures.
Monitor nitrous oxide, place dental appliances, and maintain dental records.
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure supplies are available.
