Job summary

Southport Dentologie is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to deliver outstanding patient care in a friendly, fast-paced dental practice located in Chicago. The position offers competitive pay ranging from $22 to $26 per hour, based on experience, plus a full benefits package, career track, and a balanced schedule.

As a valued team member, you will work Monday through Friday with a mix of morning and evening shifts and help create a 10-star patient experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of dental assistant experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication required.
• Preference for coronal polishing certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties.
• Assist dentist chairside during examination and treatment of procedures.
• Provide a 10-star Patient experience.
• Prepares instruments and materials for the dentist for upcoming procedures.
• Provide direct patient care in dental services including restorative, ortho, pediatric, endo, periodontics, prosthodontics and OS.
• Passes dental instruments between provider and assistant (4-handed dentistry).
• Maintain patient comfort in chair and prepare them for treatment.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories after treatment.
• Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education.
• Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos.
• Keep treatment records and charts updated.
• Monitor daily supplies for restocking.
