Job summary

The DA2 will aid patient treatment, supervise students, manage electronic health records, and coordinate scheduling, patient assignments, and clinic records. EWU emphasizes collaboration and diversity in a full in-person 10-month position.

Qualifications

• Experience: at least two years in a dental clinic setting.
• Certification & Registration: Must hold a current CDA or EFDA certification and be registered with WA DOH.
• Life Support: Must hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Word with intermediate to advanced word processing; MS Excel proficiency.
• Professionalism: Demonstrated professional appearance and responsive approach to students, faculty, staff, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide patient support services in the dental hygiene clinic.
• Supervise and orient staff to clinic procedures and equipment use.
• Assist with electronic health records and scheduling in the dental clinic.
• Support patient assignments, scheduling, and record maintenance.
• Collaborate with faculty and operations staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
