Qualifications

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Escort patients to and from rooms.
2. Record treatment notes in patient charts.
3. Perform clinical procedures as permitted and directed by the dentist.
4. Provide patient instructions and demonstrations.
5. Monitor patient flow.
6. Maintain dental units, tools, and treatment rooms.
7. Sterilize instruments and handpieces according to protocol.
8. Organize trays, instruments, and treatment areas.
9. Prepare patient charts and radiographs for upcoming appointments.

MINIMUM OBJECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic life support certification.
• Current Delaware X-ray certification.
• Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program or relevant experience.
