Job summary

Hero Practice Services seeks a Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists in delivering high quality care to underserved children. The role is full-time at our Wichita location, with a pay range of $15.00-$20.00/hr and at-will employment.

PTO, holidays, and monthly bonus opportunities accompany generous pay and growth within the practice and region. Responsibilities include patient record documentation, radiographs, chart notes alignment, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Radiology training that meets state requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and listening skills with patients and parents.
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with eClinical Works (eCW) is a plus.
• Previous dental office experience preferred.
• Current BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document accurate patient records.
• Obtain dental radiographs as requested by the dentist.
• Write precise notes ensuring chart accuracy.
• Educate patients and families on oral health.
• Sterilize instruments and manage workstations per OSHA.
• Keep the practice clean and presentable for patients.
• Support mission by performing additional duties as needed.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high quality and compassionate care to all patients.

This position will be at-will, meaning either the employer or the employee may terminate the employment at any time, with or without cause or prior notice.

Pay range: $15.00-$20.00/hr

Job Responsibilities

• Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records
• Obtain quality dental radiographs (periapicals, bitewings, panoramic) as requested by the dentist
• Write accurate and consistent notes, ensuring chart notes match services completed
• Create a friendly relationship with patients and parents as well as educating them on good oral health
• Organize and sterilizing dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Job Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred
• Current BLS CPR certification
