Job summary

Waxhaw Dental Center is seeking an experienced dental assistant to support clinicians and improve patient care. You will prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure dental equipment is ready for procedures.

You will also take and process X-rays, greet patients, and help with scheduling and records. The ideal candidate has a certified dental assistant training program, radiographic certification, and at least 18 months of clinical experience.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a certified dental assistant training program.
  • Radiographic certification required.
  • Coronal Polishing is a plus, but not required.
  • 18 months or more of clinical experience as a dental assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure equipment is ready for dentists.
  • Assist dentists during procedures by handing instruments and anticipating needs.
  • Take and process X-rays of patients.
  • Greet patients as they arrive and schedule appointments.
  • Advise patients on recommended oral hygiene and post-operative care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures.
  • Handle general administrative duties to support the practice.
