Job summary

The Smilist Dental in Blackwood, NJ is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. This position offers a 30-hour week (2 days during the week and one weekend day) with a pay range of $22.00-$27.00 per hour, based on licensure. We provide a supportive team, modern facilities, and opportunities for professional growth.

You will prep patients, assist dentists, maintain sterile environments, and help deliver high quality care. Active NJ X-ray license required; RDA a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of dental assisting experience.
• Active NJ X-ray license required.
• RDA is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors and keep patients focused on treatment.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful operatory; prep patients for treatment.
• Escort patients to and from front desk.
• Prepare tray setups and manage supplies in each operatory.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• Must have an active NJ x-ray license
• RDA a plus, but not required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:
