Job description

Dental Assistant

Location: Washington, DC

Pay: From $25 per hour

Must-Have Qualifications:
  1. Experienced Dental Assistant with at least 1 year of experience
  2. Current DC Dental Assistant Registration Level II
  3. Active CPR certification
  4. Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office suite
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the Dentist in patient care and procedures
  2. Perform dental procedures such as sealants, impressions, and seating
  3. Take impressions and diagnostic x-rays, and display x-rays appropriately
  4. Accurately document all notes during exams and treatments following company guidelines
  5. Review patient charts, medical histories, treatment plans, and consent forms prior to procedures
  6. Monitor patients on nitrous oxide at all times
  7. Verify patients' insurance eligibility
  8. Prepare patients and necessary materials for procedures
  9. Provide excellent chairside manner tailored to each patient
  10. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned
