Job summary

Aegis Dental Group is seeking a friendly Dental Assistant to join our growing Indiana team. You will welcome patients, prepare rooms and instruments, and assist doctors using four-handed dentistry.

Responsibilities include sterilizing instruments, maintaining infection-control standards, keeping rooms stocked, and supporting scheduling. X-ray certification is required; EFDA or coronal polishing training is a plus. Comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and dental assisting certification or schooling.
• X-ray certification is required.
• Coronal polishing certification or EFDA training is a plus.
• Experience with dental instruments, sterilization, and infection-control procedures is preferred.

What You'll Do

• Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable throughout their visit
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, equipment, and materials
• Assist doctors using four-handed dentistry
• Sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection-control standards
• Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Complete laboratory tasks as directed
• Provide patients with oral hygiene and post-operative instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Assist with scheduling and other patient-related needs as needed
• Help create a positive, efficient experience for both patients and the dental team

What We're Looking For

• Dental assisting experience preferred
• X-ray certification required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization, and infection-control procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, professional, and patient-focused attitude
• Organized, dependable, and attentive to detail
• Comfortable using computers and dental office technology
