Job summary

The Smilist Dental in Wading River, NY, is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to join our friendly team on a part-time basis, specifically Thursdays from 7:45am to 5pm. You will support clinicians, prepare treatment rooms, and help maintain a warm, professional patient experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their concerns and promoting the doctor’s good qualities.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where the patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - enabling efficient dental care.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Position Details

• Salary Range:$20.00-$25.00/hour
