Job summary

Children S Dental Funzone is seeking a friendly Dental Assistant for our pediatric practice. You will assist the dentist, take and develop radiographs, and help with patient assessments. Duties include recording medical histories, measuring vitals, and delivering pre/post‑op instructions.

Dentrix Ascend experience and infection control are important. This full‑time role requires Saturday availability and a credential or schooling in dental assisting.

Qualifications

• Must have schooling or dental office experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Infection control and X-ray certificates required.
• Must be able to work Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Asking about the patient’s medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse.
• Providing patients with pre/post‑op instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling).
• Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling).
• Taking impressions of patient’s teeth for study casts.
• Taking needed pre‑op/post‑op x-rays for necessary insurance (e.g., XB, space maintainer).
• Charting/entering a treatment into Dentrix Ascend software.

Job Type

Full-time. Monday‑Friday 8:00 am‑5:00 pm; some Saturdays 8:00 am‑2:00 pm. Hourly with benefits and monthly bonuses. Pay rate $18.00‑$23.00.
