Job summary

Children's Dental FunZone in Montebello is seeking an excellent Dental Assistant to join our pediatric practice. The role offers full-time hours Monday to Friday, with Saturdays, hourly pay plus monthly bonuses, and a pay rate of $18.00-$23.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 1-year experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
• Must work some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Take patients' medical history, blood pressure, and pulse.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
• Provide Pre/Post OP instructions for oral care following surgery or dental treatment procedures.
• Teach patients oral hygiene to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling).
• Take impressions of the patient's teeth for study casts (models of teeth).
• Chart/enter a treatment into Dentrix Ascend.
