A pediatric dental practice in California is seeking an excellent Dental Assistant to join their team. Qualifications

• Dental Assistant schooling or relevant office experience is required.
• Must be able to assist the dentist during various treatment procedures.
• Familiarity with dental radiographs and patient care is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various treatment procedures.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Review patients' medical history and take blood pressure and pulse.
• Provide pre/post-op instructions for oral care after surgery.
• Teach patients oral hygiene strategies.
• Chart and enter treatments into Dentrix Ascend software.

Skills

• Assist the dentist during various treatment procedures.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Review patients' medical history and take blood pressure and pulse.
• Provide pre/post-op instructions for oral care after surgery or dental treatments.
• Teach patients oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health.
• Take impressions of teeth for study casts.
• Complete pre-op/post-op x-rays for necessary insurance purposes.
• Chart and enter treatments into Dentrix Ascend software.
• Must be able to work Saturdays.
