CHOICE Healthcare Services is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials. You will pass instruments, take x-rays, IOs, and assist in prophylaxis cleaning while ensuring compliance with Arizona dental standards.

Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college or 3–6 months related experience or training

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Takes x-rays
• Takes IOs
• Assist in prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
• Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor

Summary

The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Arizona dental standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures


• Takes x-rays


• Takes IO's


• Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth


• Instructs patients on oral hygiene


• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor


• Sterilizes instruments


• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene


• Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor

Education and/or Experience

• Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred

Required Certificates or Licenses

• Arizona X-Ray certification


• Current BLS certification


• Arizona Coronal Polish certification


• Arizona Sealant certification
