Job summary

Marcus Dental Care in Huntington, New York is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team with a high level of patient care in a team-based environment. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.

This full-time position offers competitive hourly pay ($25–$29) and a benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, a 401(k), continuing education support, and a modern, tech-enabled office.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.
• X-ray certification is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintain OSHA, HIPAA, CPR and infection control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Assist dentist in managing dental emergencies and maintain CPR certification and emergency supplies.

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
