The role involves room preparation, instrument sterilization, radiography, patient education, records, and assisting dentists during procedures. Candidates should have 1 year of experience, X‑ray certification, and a high school diploma; OSHA/HIPAA/CPR training is expected.

Qualifications

• 1 year on-the-job-experience.
• X-Ray certification.
• Annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Helps dentist manage dental emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
