Job summary

Langley Health Services is seeking a full-time Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join a robust team of medical and dental professionals in Sumterville, FL. The role supports dentists during patient care, prepares operatory setups, and ensures sterilization and equipment readiness.

Applicants must hold an Expanded functions certificate, X-ray certification, and CPR certification. Preferred candidates may have nitrous oxide certification or bilingual abilities.

Qualifications

• Expanded functions certificate is required.
• X-ray certification is required.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examination and treatment of patients.
• Prepare operatory instruments and patients for dental treatment.
• Properly clean and sterilize instruments, operatory, and laboratory as patient flow or procedure dictate.
• Assist the front desk staff when necessary. Should know how to schedule patients, answer phones and use the computer.
• Give post-operative instructions to the patient as prescribed by the dentist.
