Job summary

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high quality and compassionate care to all patients.

Qualifications

• Must have radiology training meeting state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document patient records.
• Obtain dental radiographs (periapicals, bitewings, panoramic) as requested by dentist.
• Write accurate notes, ensure chart notes match services.
• Educate patients and parents on oral health.
• Organize and sterilize dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards.
• Keep the practice clean and presentable, including restrooms and lobby.
• Support mission of providing high-quality dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children.

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Santa Fe, NM is currently seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high quality and compassionate care to all patients.

Pay range: $18-$24/hr (PLUS BONUS OPPORTUNITY)

Job Responsibilities

• Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records
• Obtain quality dental radiographs (periapicals, bitewings, panoramic) as requested by the dentist
• Write accurate and consistent notes, ensuring chart notes match services completed
• Create a friendly relationship with patients and parents as well as educating them on good oral health
• Organize and sterilizing dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Job Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred
• Current BLS CPR certification

Physical Requirements

This position requires full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk and stand, bend, communicate verbally (both in person and by telephone), use hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a standard clinical environment. This role routinely utilizes standard dental equipment.
