Job summary

North American Dental is hiring a Dental Assistant for Refresh Dental in Rochester, MI. This full-time role supports clinicians with chair-side assistance, patient prep, radiographs, and keeping documentation compliant.

Ideal candidates have an active Dental Assisting Certification (or equivalent), state-specific radiography/X-ray certification, CPR, and basic MS Office skills. New grads welcome, with a sign-on bonus of $500.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or equivalent training.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific) and CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional service and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
• Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.

Tuesday: 7:45am-5pm

Wednesday: 7:45am-5pm

Thursday: 7:45am-5pm

Friday: 7:45am-2pm

Your Role as a Dental Assistant

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You’ll prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.
