Join Our Team as a Dental Assistant at Heartland Dental

Dental Care of Prince Frederick is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. The position offers a pay range of $17.00-$22.00 per hour, based on experience. Must be available to work the following schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM
• Wednesday and Friday 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Role Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, ensuring comfort and providing education throughout treatment
• Review patient health histories for quality care
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures in accordance with regulations
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols
• Manage supplies and inventory, and place orders as needed
• Collaborate with the team to implement systems and improve workflow

About Dental Care of Prince Frederick

Located at 205 Steeple Chase Dr., Prince Frederick, MD, our practice is a collaborative team of 10 dedicated professionals committed to community health and patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Dental assistant and/or x-ray certification as required by state law
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to protect patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

Preferred Experience

• Over 1 year of dental experience
• Experience with Dentrix or similar software
• Dental assisting certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform duties with or without accommodations
• Prolonged sitting and standing
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
• Availability for periodic training sessions
• TB test prior to employment (except in FL & TN)
