Job summary

Swish Dental in Pflugerville, TX is hiring a Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our patient-centered team. You will assist the dentist, take radiographs, prepare instruments, and ensure a clean, efficient patient flow.

The ideal candidate will hold a Dental Assisting certificate, Texas RDA license within 1+ year, CPR/BLS, and strong English communication. This is a full-time, on-site role offering supportive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures.
• Ability to travel to other locations as needed.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Take dental radiographs (x-rays) and scans.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and patient rooms.
• Provide exceptional patient care throughout their visit.
• Take impressions of patients' teeth.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team.
• Maintain a team-first and patient-first mentality.
• Continuously increase dentistry knowledge and job skills.
• Adhere to State, Federal, and local compliance standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Perform dental radiographs (x-rays) and scans
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and patient rooms
• Provide exceptional patient care throughout their visit
• Take impressions of patients' teeth

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certificate of Completion from a Dental Assisting Course required
• Texas RDA License required after 1+ years of certification

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• This position may be required to sit or stand for long periods
• This position may be required to work more than 40 hours per week
• This position is in a clinical studio environment which can be noisy and distracting
