Job summary

Smile West Virginia is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support in-school mobile dental clinics in Petersburg, WV and surrounding areas. You will assist in delivering dental care to underserved children, use digital radiography, and maintain patient records on a school-day schedule.

The role offers a balance between impactful work and predictable hours, with a benefits package and modern portable equipment. Applicants should be able to travel locally and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• Active CPR certification is required.
• At least 1 year of Dental Assistant experience.
• At least 1 year of Digital X-ray imaging experience.
• Valid driver license and willingness to travel locally.
• Ability to work well with children and adults in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Smile West Virginia, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant in Petersburg, WV and surrounding areas to help provide dental care to underserved children at their school.

Our innovative in school dental program offers something different than a traditional dental practice. With a workday that ends with the school day and no nights or weekends, our program is perfect for people looking for a diverse and different working environment, working parents and anyone who wants to make a difference in the dental field.

Dental Assistant (DA) Qualifications

• Must hold active CPR certification card
• Must have 1+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant (DA)
• Must have 1+ years Digital X-ray Imaging experience
• Valid driver license, reliable transportation and a willingness to travel locally is a must
• Works well with others (both children and adults)
• Ability to work well in fast-paced environment; organized and detail-oriented; able to multi-task
• Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.
• Able to walk several flights of stairs on occasion as many schools are without elevators
