Job summary

Smile Virginia, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Dental Assistant in Roanoke, VA and surrounding areas to help provide dental care to underserved children at their school.

Our in-school program ends with the school day, with no nights or weekends, and offers a benefits package including health, dental, and vision. Full and part-time positions are available with competitive compensation and state-of-the-art portable dental equipment.

Qualifications

• Hold active CPR certification.
• 1+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
• 1+ years Digital X-ray Imaging experience.
• Valid driver license and reliable transportation; willing to travel locally.
• Works well with children.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; organized and detail-oriented; able to multi-task.
• Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide dental assisting services during mobile dental clinics.
• Perform Digital X-ray Imaging.
• Chart patient records.
• Set up, break down, and sterilize equipment.
• Travel daily to and from school sites.

Dental Assistant (DA) Qualifications

• Hold active CPR certification card
• Must have 1+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant (DA)
• Must have 1+ years Digital X-ray Imaging experience
