Job summary

AvaHR in Orlando is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join a professional dental team. You will perform supportive duties under licensed dentist supervision and maintain a clean, compliant practice focused on patient care and accurate charting.

The role requires dental experience, attention to detail, and the ability to educate patients while supporting efficient clinical operations. Competitive pay and a monthly performance bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have dental assisting experience.
• Familiarity with Florida regulations for dental auxiliaries preferred.
• Ability to work under supervision of a licensed dentist.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic supportive functions under the dentist's supervision.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment.
• Record patient charting and notes in digital chart.
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and educate patients.
• Manage supply inventory and lab equipment.
• Operate dental x-ray equipment and take diagnostic x-rays.

As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for the following:

• Perform basic supportive functions in accordance with Florida’s Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties under the supervision of a licensed dentist.


• Maintain a clean, sterile, and positive environment.


• Record patient charting and the dentist’s notes in the digital patient chart, as directed by the dentist.


• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and instruments, monitor schedule for efficiency, and educate patients on dental procedures.


• Manage supply inventory, as well as organize and maintain lab equipment.


• Legally operate dental x-ray equipment, take accurate diagnostic x-rays, and detailed impressions.


• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g, OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, Employee Handbook).

Pay: Competitive pay depending on experience and knowledge. + Monthly Bonus based on performance

Hours of Operation: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 3:30pm
