• Coronal Polishing Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Present the patient to the doctor.
• Clean the patient’s teeth.
• Apply fluoride.
• Take, expose and develop digital radiographs (bitewings, panoramic).
• Provide hygiene and diet education.
• Assist the dentist during procedures in office or hospital.
• Take impressions.
• Schedule follow-up exams.
• Review schedule to ensure appointments are appropriate.
• Set up and tear down dental chairs and operatory rooms.
• Discuss treatment plans with parents.
• Sterilize instruments and manage infection control.
