Job summary

Norwalk Dental Associates in Norwalk, CT, is actively seeking a highly motivated full-time Dental Assistant to support our clinicians and deliver quality dental care in a relaxed, patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities include greeting and seating patients, assisting chairside with four-handed dentistry, taking x-rays, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining accurate treatment records. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential; Dentrix Ascend experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Superior customer service skills and teamwork are essential.
  • Willingness to learn & grow within a family-oriented team.
  • Ability to commute reliably to Norwalk, CT office.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat patients.
  • Act as a liaison between the patient and the doctor.
  • Set up trays as indicated by the days’ charts.
  • Review schedules and anticipate the doctor’s needs in advance.
  • Assist chairside using four-handed dentistry.
  • Enter treatment plans.
  • Take x-rays as needed.
  • Clean and disinfect operatory after each patient.
  • Take alginates/pour and trim models.
  • Package and sterilize instruments.
  • Keep operatory fully stocked.

Currently, we're in search of a highly motivated Full-time Dental Assistant. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic, be a team player and possess the ability to multitask.

Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Greet and seat patients
  • Act as a liaison between the patient and the doctor
  • Set up trays as indicated by the days’ charts
  • Review schedules and anticipate the doctor’s needs in advance
  • Assist chairside using four-handed dentistry
  • Enter treatment plans

Available to work during current office hours:
  • Monday - 8:30 AM - 5 PM
  • Tuesday - 8:30 AM - 5 PM
  • Wednesday -8:30 AM - 5 PM
  • Thursday - 8:30 AM - 5 PM
  • Friday - 8:30 AM - 5 PM
  • One hour lunch break every day
Preferred Qualities:
  • Dental Office Experience
  • Dentrix Ascend software experience
  • X-Ray and ICE Certification
