A busy dental practice in Norwalk is looking for an experienced and certified dental assistant dedicated to providing quality patient care. The role involves assisting dentists and dental hygienists during procedures, maintaining treatment rooms, and updating patient records. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of experience and necessary certifications, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Our ideal candidate has 2 or more years of dental practice experience, a current CDA/ RDA license, and excellent customer service, organization, and communication skills. Responsibilities: • Assist dentists and dental hygienists during any procedures or examinations by handing off dental instruments, providing suction, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team • Equip and prepare treatment rooms for examination and procedures by laying out necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials • Measure and document vital signs and update medical history for patients • Schedule appointments for patient care follow up, answer any questions they may have about dental hygiene, and provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patients’ teeth and gums, after procedures • Greet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during the appointment Qualifications: • Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant • Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification or RDA state license by the Dental Assisting National Board's (DANB) • Proficiency with computers, and experience updating patient histories, and with dental software is necessary • Up-to-date BLS/CPR certification is required • Strong interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are essential • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Compensation: $25 - $28 hourly
