Job summary

A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Dental Assistant to work alongside Dentists in providing patient care. The role involves assisting with Orthodontics procedures, taking dental x-rays, and adhering to infection control protocols. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, dental assistant training, and experience in the field. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. This is a full-time position located in the Bronx, New York.

Job description

Works directly with Dentist and assists with patient care. Performs duties and responsibilities that directly and indirectly involve patient care. Other clinical and patient care duties as assigned. Will be expected to provide support to other clinics if needed. Will assist Dentists in the performance of general Orthodontics procedures on patients. Takes and develops dental x-rays, follows the Montefiore’s infection control and documentation guidelines. Must be able to support at nearby Montefiore dental clinic if needed on rare occasions

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required. Formal dental assistant training or certification preferred. One year of Dental Assistant experience required. .

Speaks English & Spanish but fluency is Spanish is preferred not required.
