Base pay range

$21.50/hr - $23.00/hr

Position Overview

Apicha Community Health Center aims to improve community health by providing access to comprehensive primary care, preventive health services, mental health, and supportive services. We are seeking a Dental Assistant for our Jackson Heights location.

Responsibilities
  1. Support dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials.
  2. Pass instruments and materials, perform procedures in compliance with dental practices.
  3. Perform chairside and clinical/laboratory support functions.
  4. Prepare treatment operatory, position instruments and equipment.
  5. Monitor patient comfort and assist in maintaining treatment records.
  6. Maintain operatory equipment and instruments, including sterilization and inventory control.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of an accredited New York dental assisting program by the ADA
  • One year of clinical dental assisting experience preferred
  • Basic CPR (BLS) Certification
  • Experience in hospital or community health center preferred
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish, Hindi, Bangla, Urdu) preferred
  • Knowledge of Medical/Dental Software preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
