Dental Assistant

Position: Full Time (Mon, Tue, Thu 7:45am-5:30pm, Wed 6:45am-4:30pm) | Salary Range: $22-$25/hr based on experience | Benefits included!

Role Responsibilities

1. Greet and assist patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
2. Review patient health histories to ensure quality care.
3. Take and process x-rays and diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
4. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures, following state dental practice acts.
5. Use Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping.
6. Prepare treatment rooms adhering to safety protocols, OSHA, and CDC guidelines.
7. Manage supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed.
8. Collaborate with team to implement systems and optimize workflow.

About Middlesex Dental Care

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.
• Dental assistant and x-ray certification as required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle PHI responsibly, with HIPAA training required.

Preferred Experience

• At least 1 year of dental experience.
• Experience with Dentrix or similar software.
• Dental assisting certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations.
• Prolonged sitting and standing.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Availability for periodic training sessions.
• TB test required prior to employment, except in FL & TN.
