Job summary

The Kids Dentist in Mequon, WI is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team and provide a high level of patient care. The role requires 1+ year of dental assisting experience and X-ray certification, with a full-time Monday-Thursday schedule and Friday half-day.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
• Assist dentist in emergencies: CPR certified, emergency drugs and oxygen supply, and emergency directory.

Responsibilities

• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

• One year or more on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
• X-Ray certification
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
