Job summary

Bright Smiles Family Dentistry in Marble Falls, TX is seeking a Temporary Dental Assistant to support the clinical team with high-quality patient care in a team-based setting. The role requires prior dental assisting experience and X-ray certification, with CP R certification and OSHA/HIPAA diligence expected.

Qualifications

• Registered Dental Assistant - Required
• One year or more on-the-job-experience
• X-Ray certification
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
