Community Health Center Of Lubbock is hiring a Dental Assistant to support the Dentist through chairside procedures, radiography, and instrument sterilization. The role includes patient education and collaboration with the dental team in a patient-centered environment.

The ideal candidate holds a High School diploma or GED, a Texas RDA Certificate, and at least one year of chairside experience. BLS qualification and bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High School graduation or GED equivalent.
• Licensure: Texas RDA Certificate.
• New Dental Assistants are welcome to apply.
• One year chairside experience preferred.
• One year in ordering and maintaining supplies preferred.
• Radiology experience or Radiology Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance and support for the Dentist.
• Take dental x-rays and sterilize dental instruments.
• Provide dental education to children and their parents or caregivers.
• Work under supervision of the Dental Director and Site Manager.
• Adhere to HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Travel for continuing education or testing purposes may be required.
• Hours are 8am-5pm with some weekend/evening work.

Job DetailsJob Location: Main Clinic - Lubbock, TX 79401Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: Health CareThe Dental Assistant works energetically to improve and secure CHCL as the medical and dental home for our clients. Under the general supervision of a Dental Director and the Site Manager, the Dental Assistant provides chair side assistance and support for the Dentist; performs such procedures as x-rays and sterilization of dental instruments; and provides dental education, especially to children and their parents or caregivers.

QualificationsEducation: High School graduation or GED equivalent.

Licensure: Texas RDA Certificate.

Experience:

• One year experience as a chair side assistantpreferred.
• One year experience in ordering and maintaining supplies preferred.
• New Dental Assistants are welcomed to apply.

Expertise:

• Extensive radiology experience or a Radiology Certificate from the State of Texas.
• Must be qualified in BLS techniques.

Language:English; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Travel: Employees may be required to travel for continuing education or testing purposes, health fairs, and off-site clinics.

Hours of Work:8am-5pm with some weekend/evening work.
