Job summary

North American Dental Group seeks a Dental Assistant to provide outstanding clinical support, preparing patients for treatment and assisting the dentist during procedures. You will help with charting, sterilization, radiographs, and patient education in a patient-first environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Dental Assisting Certification, state radiography certification, and CPR; 1–5 years of experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth and ongoing education within a collaborative

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist with restorative dentistry and prepare patients for treatment.
• Maintain asepsis: sterilize instruments, prepare trays, and ensure proper instrument setup.
• Chart and document patient health history as directed by the doctor; manage forms and signatures in dental software.
• Exposes and develops dental radiographs; adhere to OSHA and HIPAA requirements.

Monday through Thursday 7:45am-5:00pm

Friday 7:45am-2:00pm

Monday and Friday will rotate each week

Responsibilities

Dental Assistant partners with the practice team to provide excellent clinical support to help patients get the care they need. Dental Assistant will help prepare the patient for treatment and assist the dentist in restorative dentistry.

Skills Required to Make a Great “Impression” on Our Team

• Provides excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists which includes but is not limited to: charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Reviews the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
• Prepares patients, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, maintains chain of asepsis, prepares materials, and assists dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
• Exposes and develops dental diagnostic radiographs.
• Follows OSHA regulations and safety requirements to include compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on the job training
• 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates
• Radiography/ X-RAY certification for respective state
• CPR Certification required
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
