Job summary

North American Dental Group seeks a Dental Assistant to join our team in Cleveland. You will provide chair-side support, prep patients, assist dentists with restorative procedures, and ensure asepsis and radiographic imaging per OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant provides chair-side support to Doctors and Hygienists, assists with charting and patient education.
• Records and reviews patient health history and updates charts in dental software.
• Exposes and develops dental radiographs as part of the diagnostic process.
• Adheres to OSHA, HIPAA, CPR and other required certifications and registrations.

Responsibilities

• Provide chair-side clinical support and assist Doctors and Hygienists.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist with restorative procedures.
• Record patient health history and update charts in dental software.
• Prepare trays, sterilize instruments, and maintain asepsis.
• Take and develop dental radiographs.

Responsibilities

Dental Assistant partners with the practice team to provide excellent clinical support to help patients get the care they need. Dental Assistant will help prepare the patient for treatment and assist the dentist in restorative dentistry.

Skills Required to Make a Great \"Impression\" on Our Team

• Provides excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists which includes but is not limited to: charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Reviews the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
• Prepares patients, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, maintains chain of asepsis, prepares materials, and assists dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
• Exposes and develops dental diagnostic radiographs.
• Follows OSHA regulations and safety requirements to include compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on the job training
• 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates
• Radiography/ X-RAY certification for respective state
• CPR Certification required
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Commitment to providing exceptional service, support, and education to patient.
