Job summary

Farber Perio is seeking an Experienced Dental Assistant for a periodontal surgical office to join our team. You will work closely with specialists and dental hygienists to provide exceptional patient care, assisting with surgical procedures, taking dental x-rays, intra-oral scans and 3D/oral scans, and preparing treatment rooms.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality dental care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program preferred.
• 3 years of on-the-job experience with supporting documentation.
• X-Ray certification is required.
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during implant, laser and other periodontal procedures.
• Take and develop dental x-ray, scans and intra oral scans.
• Order responsibility for implant and other surgical material.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits.
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments.
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist and dental hygienists.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
