Job summary

Now Dental of Suffolk is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our Smithtown team in a modern, multi-specialty practice. You will assist dentists, take digital x-rays, prepare rooms, and maintain sterilization and supplies for a smooth patient experience.

The role requires 1+ year of experience, a valid NY DA license or CODA-certified credentials, and CPR certification. We offer strong team support and growth opportunities in a busy dental office affiliated with Affinity Dental Management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Certificate from a CODA-accredited dental assisting program (preferred).
• Current NY DA license, or DANB CDA, ICE & RHS certifications (preferred).
• CPR certification
• At least 1 year of dental assisting experience (required).
• Denticon software knowledge (a plus).
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a patient-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for patients
• Assist dentists chairside during procedures, passing instruments and supporting patient comfort
• Take and process digital x-rays
• Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
• Pour, trim, and polish study casts and removable appliances
• Maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance
• Track supplies and ensure operatories are stocked and organized
• Document patient services accurately in digital records
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, aftercare, and preventive practices

Your Schedule

• Monday-Thursday: 9AM-6PM
• Friday: 9AM-5PM

Your Role as a Dental Assistant
