Job summary

North American Dental Group (NADG) is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant for Whittaker Family Dental in Defiance, OH. You will support the dentist with clinical procedures, prep patients for treatment, and help maintain a high standard of care and asepsis.

The role offers a 1- to 5-year experience path, a $2,000 sign-on bonus, and a schedule that includes Mondays to Thursdays with alternating Fridays. Benefits include PTO and potential 401(k) enrollment.

Qualifications

• Certification or on-the-job training as a Dental Assistant is required.
• 1-5 years experience preferred, new graduates welcome.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific) required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chair-side clinical support including charting and operatory setup/cleanup.
• Maintain documentation under dentist direction.
• Set up trays/instruments per schedule and procedures.
• Prepare patients and maintain asepsis per OSHA standards.

Your Work Schedule

Monday: 7:45am-5pm
Tuesday: 7:45am-7pm
Wednesday: 7:45am-7pm
Thursday: 7:45am-5pm
Every other Friday: 7:45am-2pm

Your Role as a Dental Assistant

As a Dental Assistant, you'll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You'll prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
• Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.

What You'll Need To Succeed

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
