Job summary

Dcotx is partnering with a well-established North Dallas dental practice to hire a Dental Assistant on a 6-month contract. The role offers flexibility in schedule, with part-time or full-time hours and 20–50 hours per week, based on availability.

Training and support will be provided to ensure high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include assisting dentists in various procedures, sterilizing rooms, taking X-rays, preparing materials, and managing front-office duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years hands-on dental assisting experience, OR
• Recent graduate of an accredited dental assisting program

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist during restorative, endodontic, and surgical procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
• Provide chairside assistance and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures

• Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene

About the Opportunity

Our staffing firm is partnering with an established dental practice in North Dallas with an excellent reputation in the community. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant for a 6‑month contract position starting as soon as possible.

Employment Type: Contract (6 months)

Schedule: Flexible - Part‑time or Full‑time available

Hours: 20‑50 hours per week (based on your availability)

Location: Preston @ i635

Key Responsibilities

• Assist dentist during various dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and process dental radiographs (X‑rays)
• Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
• Provide chairside assistance and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Experience Level (one of the following):

• Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on dental assisting experience, OR
• Recent graduate of an accredited dental assisting program

Additional Requirements:

• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
• Professional, friendly demeanor with patients of all ages
• Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred but Not Required:

• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification
• Experience with dental practice management software
