Wonderland Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support our dental team in Cypress, TX. You will assist with procedures, maintain operatory readiness, manage supplies, and uphold strict infection control standards.

Join a fast-paced, patient-centered practice focused on quality care. You will educate patients, document notes in the EHR, and collaborate with front desk to ensure smooth scheduling and excellent patient experiences.

Formación

• Completion of accredited Dental Assistant training or equivalent experience.
• Current state Dental Assistant certification and radiology certification (as required).
• Strong communication skills with patients, team members, and dentists.

Responsabilidades

• Assist dentists during procedures by preparing patients, materials and instruments.
• Lead daily operatory readiness and turnover.
• Monitor inventory levels and order clinical supplies.
• Maintain infection control protocols per OSHA standards (cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing).
• Take dental X-rays and impressions; assist in procedures as needed.
• Document patient histories, treatment notes, and charting in EHR systems.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support front desk with clinical input for scheduling and patient flow.

Position Overview:

The Dental Assistant supports our dentists enhancing patient care and ensuring smooth practice operations. Responsibilities include clinical assistance, sterilization of equipment, patient education, and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist dentists during procedures by preparing patients, materials, and instruments.
• Lead daily operatory readiness and turnover.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of clinical supplies.
• Maintain strict compliance with infection control protocols, including cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing dental instruments according to OSHA standards
• Take dental X-rays, impressions, and assist in procedures as needed.
• Document patient histories, treatment notes, and charting accurately in EHR systems.
• Educate and guide patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and general dental health.
• Support front desk with clinical input as needed for scheduling or patient flow.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant training program or equivalent experience.
• Current state Dental Assistant certification and radiology certification (as required).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients, team members, and dentists.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficient in sterilization protocols, dental terminology, and EHR systems.
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient care, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with dental software and basic computer skills preferred.
• Primarily spent in a dental treatment area. Must be comfortable with standing or assisting patients for extended periods.
• High-energy, with frequent interaction with patients and dental professionals.
