Position Overview

The Dental Assistant supports the dental team by preparing patients, managing check-in and check-out, and scheduling appointments. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM – 5 PM, with a pay range of $18-$21/hour based on experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize operatories and instruments
• Take and mount dental radiographs
• Check patient medical history and vital signs
• Assist during dental procedures and with patient discharge
• Provide oral care instructions post-treatment
• Register patients and assist with billing documentation

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assisting Certificate in Iowa
• Iowa Radiology Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Sterilization Certification is a plus
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred
