More about the role

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health histories to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (e.g., iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Assist dentists chairside during various procedures, adhering to state dental practice laws.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed.
• Collaborate with the team to implement systems and optimize workflow.

About Dentistry on Walnut Grove

Dentistry on Walnut Grove is a community-focused practice supported by Heartland Dental, emphasizing collaboration and modern technology.

• Join a 14-person team that values communication and community engagement.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with up-to-date systems.
• Enjoy a balanced schedule: 4-day work week, Tuesday to Friday, 7:30 am - 5:00 pm.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Dental assistant and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle PHI responsibly, with HIPAA training required.

Preferred Experience

• Over 1 year of dental experience.
• Experience with Dentrix or similar software.
• Dental assisting certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations.
• Prolonged sitting and standing.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Availability for periodic training sessions.
• TB test required prior to employment, except in FL & TN.
