More about the role
- Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
- Review patient health histories to ensure quality care.
- Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (e.g., iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
- Assist dentists chairside during various procedures, adhering to state dental practice laws.
- Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
- Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
- Manage supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed.
- Collaborate with the team to implement systems and optimize workflow.

About Dentistry on Walnut Grove
Dentistry on Walnut Grove is a community-focused practice supported by Heartland Dental, emphasizing collaboration and modern technology.
- Join a 14-person team that values communication and community engagement.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with up-to-date systems.
- Enjoy a balanced schedule: 4-day work week, Tuesday to Friday, 7:30 am - 5:00 pm.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Dental assistant and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle PHI responsibly, with HIPAA training required.
Preferred Experience
- Over 1 year of dental experience.
- Experience with Dentrix or similar software.
- Dental assisting certification.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations.
- Prolonged sitting and standing.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Availability for periodic training sessions.
- TB test required prior to employment, except in FL & TN.
