Experienced Dental Assistant: Floater

Part-time or Full-time Opportunity (Monday - Friday) | $20-$24/hr based on experience | Benefits

*For the Full-Time role, candidates must be willing to float to nearby locations; Rockingham Dental Group - Exeter will be your home office.

More about the role
  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
  • Review patient health histories to deliver quality care.
  • Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
  • Assist dentists chairside during various procedures, following state dental practice acts.
  • Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
  • Prepare treatment rooms adhering to safety protocols, OSHA, and CDC guidelines.
  • Manage supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize workflow.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Dental assistant and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and ability to protect patient information.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in a dental setting.
  • Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software.
  • Dental assisting certification from an accredited school.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations.
  • Prolonged sitting and standing.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Availability for periodic virtual or in-person training sessions.
  • TB test required prior to employment, arranged during pre-employment; not applicable in FL & TN.
