Job description

Gentle Dental Care of Rochester, PC is seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic small family practice. The candidate must be enthusiastic, a quick learner, capable of problem-solving, and caring for patients. The primary role of a Dental Assistant is to assist the dentist during dental procedures and ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients.

Compensation: ranging from $19-$24 (based on experience)

Duties include:

  1. Seating and dismissing patients
  2. Providing oral and written pre-operative and post-operative treatment instructions
  3. Taking radiographs, assisting the dentist chairside, maintaining flow between the operatories
  4. Preparing work areas including stocking, setting up, breaking down, and cleaning
  5. Performing handpiece sterilization
  6. Monitoring stock levels through periodic inventories and communicating with co-workers to place orders

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, full-time

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in dental assisting and chairside support
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy
  • Proficiency in using 3D scanners and Dentrix
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and general dentistry practices
  • Familiarity with endodontics
  • Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and manage medical records
  • CRDA certification is preferred but not necessary
