Job summary

Elite Dental Partners in Chillicothe, IL seeks a Part-Time Dental Assistant who shares a passion for patient care and education within a welcoming team. You will provide chair-side clinical support, educate patients, and help maintain a clean, efficient operatory.

The role emphasizes accurate charting, X-ray processing, and collaboration with dentists and hygienists to deliver an excellent patient experience. Training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a dental assisting program and state board certification as required.
  • Radiology certification required to comply with state board requirements.
  • Dental assisting experience is preferred.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.

  • Take and process X-Rays.
  • Enter patient treatment plans and maintain files.
  • Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatories.

Job description

We are seeking a Part-Time Dental Assistant that shares our passion for patient care and education, as well as creating a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide chair-side clinical support to Dentists and Hygienists by charting, patient education, operatory set-up and clean-up
  • Deliver a superior patient experience at all phases of their appointment
  • Take and process X-Rays
  • Enter patient treatment plans and maintain files
  • Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatories
  • Educate patients on the importance of their oral health and how it is best maintained
Qualifications
  • Completion of a dental assisting program, certification as required by the State Dental Board
  • Radiology certification required to be compliant with the State Dental Board
  • Dental assisting experience preferred
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and working with a dental software, experience with Dentrix preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to partnering with all team members to create a great environment
