Job summary

WYOMING COSMETIC AND FAMILY DENTAL in Cheyenne, WY is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to join our practice. You will assist the dentist during procedures, prepare treatment rooms, and help maintain a clean, organized environment while delivering excellent patient care.

Responsibilities include taking x-rays, supporting front desk tasks when needed, updating patient records, and educating patients on oral hygiene.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Wyoming Radiology Certification.
• Current CPR, OSHA, and HIPAA certifications.
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred.
• Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) is a plus.
• Previous experience in a dental office is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and terminology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills for managing patient records and scheduling (Dentrix, Microsoft, Google Workspace, and Dexis).

Work Environment

This position is based in a dental office located in Cheyenne, WY. The role requires standing for extended periods and working closely with patients and dental staff. One evening shift a week and 2 Saturday shifts per month will be required.
