Job summary

Chesaning Family Dental in Chesaning, MI is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support the Doctor and team in a friendly private practice. You’ll prepare rooms, assist with procedures, and ensure patient comfort throughout visits. CPR certification is required; a Certified Dental Assistant credential is preferred. Monday–Thursday schedule with no current Friday shifts.

Qualifications

  • Certified or experienced Dental Assistant.
  • CPR certification current.
  • Reliable, organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms, patients, instruments and materials.
  • Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable.
  • Assist Doctor with procedures, set-ups, suction and passing instruments.
  • Take and document intraoral photographs.
  • Chart treatment and patient information; pour, trim and polish study casts.
  • Fabricate temporary restorations.
  • Clean and polish removable appliances.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness.
  • Follow OSHA and infection control guidelines.
  • Answer patient questions and provide information.
  • Be a positive team member.

We're looking for a full-time Dental Assistant who is dependable, energetic, and enjoys being part of a great team!

Chesaning Family Dental is an established private family practice in Chesaning. We have a wonderful team, an amazing Doctor, and a practice that truly puts our patients and our team first. We're looking for someone who wants to find a long-term home and enjoys working in a friendly, supportive office.

What You'll Be Doing
Responsibilities

As a Dental Assistant, you'll work closely with the Doctor and team to help provide a great experience for our patients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials
  • Welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable throughout their visit
  • Assisting the Doctor with procedures, including set-ups, suction, and passing instruments
  • Taking and documenting intraoral photographs
  • Thoroughly charting treatment and patient informationPouring, trimming, and polishing study casts
  • Fabricating temporary restorations
  • Cleaning and polishing removable appliances
  • Sterilizing instruments and maintaining clean treatment rooms
  • Following OSHA and infection control guidelines
  • Answering patient questions and helping them feel informed and comfortable
  • Pitching in wherever needed and being a positive part of the team
What We're Looking For
  • A certified or experienced Dental Assistant
  • Current in CPR certification
  • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a busy dental office
  • Friendly and personable with patients
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • Available to work our Monday–Thursday schedule
Schedule
  • Monday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: No Fridays at this time, but this could change in the future
