Job summary

Chesaning Family Dental is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our private practice in Michigan. You’ll work closely with the Doctor and team to provide a great patient experience, handling room prep, patient comfort, procedure assistance, and charting.

The ideal candidate is CPR-certified, reliable, organized, and friendly, with a willingness to be a positive team member in a busy office. Monday–Thursday schedule offered.

Qualifications

• Certified or experienced dental assistant role.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Must be reliable, organized and detail‑oriented.
• Friendly, personable, and able to work in a busy private practice.
• Availability Monday–Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
• Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable.
• Assist the Doctor with procedures, set-ups, suction, and instrument passing.
• Take and document intraoral photographs.
• Thoroughly chart treatment and patient information.
• Pour, trim, and polish study casts; fabricate temporary restorations.
• Clean and polish removable appliances; sterilize instruments.
• Follow OSHA and infection control guidelines.
• Answer patient questions and keep them informed.
• Collaborate as a positive member of the team.

We're looking for a full-time Dental Assistant who is dependable, energetic, and enjoys being part of a great team!

Chesaning Family Dental is an established private family practice in Chesaning. We have a wonderful team, an amazing Doctor, and a practice that truly puts our patients and our team first. We're looking for someone who wants to find a long-term home and enjoys working in a friendly, supportive office.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Dental Assistant, you'll work closely with the Doctor and team to help provide a great experience for our patients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials
• Welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable throughout their visit
• Assisting the Doctor with procedures, including set‑ups, suction, and passing instruments
• Taking and documenting intraoral photographs
• Thoroughly charting treatment and patient information
• Pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts
• Fabricating temporary restorations
• Cleaning and polishing removable appliances
• Sterilizing instruments and maintaining clean treatment rooms
• Following OSHA and infection control guidelines
• Answering patient questions and helping them feel informed and comfortable
• Pitching in wherever needed and being a positive part of the team

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

• A certified or experienced Dental Assistant
• Current in CPR certification
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working in a busy dental office
• Friendly and personable with patients
• A team player with a positive attitude
• Available to work our Monday–Thursday schedule

Schedule

• Monday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: No Fridays at this time, but this could change in the future
