Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our Canton, MI practice. You will provide essential chair-side support to dentists and hygienists, prepare patients for treatment, and help maintain high standards of asepsis and efficiency in the operatory. The role requires radiography certification, CPR, and a Dental Assisting credential.

New grads are welcome. This is a full-time position with a strong emphasis on teamwork, patient education, and continued

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or equivalent on-the-job training.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional service and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories; document under the dentist's direction.
• Set up trays and instruments per schedule and procedure needs.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, maintain asepsis per OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including radiographs exposure and development.
• Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, CPR and safety certifications are kept up to date.

Monday: 7:45am-5:00pm

Tuesday: 7:45am-5:00pm

Wednesday: 7:45am-5:00pm

Thursday: 7:45am-5:00pm

Friday: 7:45am-3:00pm

Your Role as a Dental Assistant

As a Dental Assistant, you'll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You'll prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
• Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.

What You'll Need To Succeed

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
